Yes, the Daytonas have the LEC which was introduced in 2001, but some Rolex watches first got the LEC in 2002/2003.

Is it suppose to be visible with the naked eye?

Depending on your eyesight and light conditions you CAN see it with your naked eye, but it is easier if you use a 10X loupe at look at an angle with it at six o' clock.
Also a small flashlight (pointing the beam from 12 towards 6) would make the LEC "glow up".

I would feel better if I could see it, but my eyes may be to bad.

If the dial is WHITE, it is even more difficult to spot!
Please just use a loupe and you will see it if you have some patience. Here is the LEC on my SD: I have not yet succeeded in capturing the LEC on my SS White Cos, but I saw a pic yesterday somewhere here taken of the LEC on a White Cos.

Thanks for the pic, Bo. I am not going to loose any sleep over it because I really do have poor vision. I can't find it on my blue sub either.

I got a little paranoid when I first looked for it. Just couldnt find it. I used a 5x loupe and still couldnt see it. In fact, i could only see it with the macro camera.
