AP Royal Oak book

I've seen these in a couple pics posted on the forum. Looks like a hardback with a black cover. Where are they available? Are people buying them or are they getting them as gifts??

I WANT ONE!

Just got one today as gift. But you can buy them. Call either US Boutique.

It's to mark the 40th Anniversary. Think they are a couple of hundred dollars.

I figured AP made enough money and they could afford to sell it cheap...

I though the AP website listed the "Suggested Price" at 100 Euro.

Although given AP's watch pricing policy of EURO vs USD....100 Euro = $500 :)

Hey Tex,

Can you tell us if there is anything interesting in terms of reading? Or is it more a picture book showing current AP ambassadors wearing APs? Someone said they thought it mostly just shows current APs, but they had not closely looked through the book. Also, any pictures of vintage ROs and/or ROs that were developed but not released for sale to the public(I saw a photo of a RO with a diving bezel that rotated in photos of the traveling RO exhibit).

Thanks and best regards,
Dino

I love the book and while there's some good historical information to read I think they could've included more horological content and glamour shots of their watches. Too many brand ambassadors and unknown random owners showcasing the brand. I was even surprised to see a very unknown Mexican businessman in the book wearing his Offshore. Not sure how they selected all these random individuals but this one in particular (after googleing his name) happens to be a fraudulent businessman with all sorts of pending lawsuits against him in the U.S and Mexico. To be honest, not exactly who I would've consider to be part of a 40th anniversary Royal Oak book.

Regardless of this the book is a must have for any AP Royal Oak fan.

Definitely! Some of the pics almost seemed like they had been taken with the Photobooth on MacBooks by the owners themselves. Other pictures are quite blurry.

Agreed. And i too thought it would have more history in it rather than just amabassadors wearing current pieces, if you are a HUGE AP fan then sure if can justify the outlay(in all honesty i don't think i could) then it's one to buy for A N Other WIS though it's a pass in my humble.

Had a quick shifty whilst admiring these
