Rolex Bezel Repair

I have never posted in a Forum before...so please excuse me if I am posting incorrectly and in the wrong place.

I have a 2003 two tone Submariner. I just noticed that the mother of pearl is missing at the top/triangle. I had the complete service performed on the watch in 1/2011. Service was done at high end local jeweler authorized for Rolex service...so I do not think that I need the complete service again. I would like to get the bezel repaired and then general polish/clean up.

Do you recommend that I send to the Rolex Service Center in Dallas?
Does anyone know if this type of repair is major or minor? Does the Service Center simply replace the stone? Or does the watch need a new bezel?
Would something like this be covered under any type of warranty?
Any other thoughts or comments...it is really bugging me.

Thanks for your help!

The repair should not be terribly expensive, as it is an aluminum bezel and I think you may be able to have the pearl replaced only, however I'm not sure about that.

By the way, that pearl, as it is called, is probably Super Luminova, but it certainly is not mother of pearl.

A true expert will notice your post soon.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the Forum!

Take it back to the service watchmaker, they will make it right. It will be a lot cheaper than trying to source the insert yourself.

hi, i am not sure if you can just get the pearl, but a completely new bezel insert is under 100 dollars, so not too expensive.

You will need a new bezel insert. Not expensive. If it were mine, I would contact Rikki. He is a ROLEX certified watchmaker that has a very good reputation here.
