Why so few 15300 for sale?

So I did a search in the for sale section and found that in 2012 (so far) only two 15300 have been offered for sale vs six in 2011.

So what gives? Why are there so few 15300 being flipped?

Are there not many of them out there? not popular or are they simply so popular that people make them a permanent part of their collection?

Some watches tend to be keepers and don't get sold often, I can think of a few others but I know if I picked up a 15300 its so versatile and suitable for so many occasions it'd stay for good.

Well they've been discontinued. So the stock is very limited, and those who have are holding on to them. Just my .2 cents. :)

X2 plus once you get one there's really no reason to part with it.

Why would anyone want to flip it? Unless one's getting a new Jumbo...

Most people that buy a 15300 has it as a keeper, and now when it's discontinued and very hard for AD's to get a hold of not many dealers can't get them.

You may be a nice guy, but there are many things I would give up before my 15300 and that includes the SS Daytona I just bought.

But go ahead and make me an offer...just kidding.

I think my next watch for a milestone B Day - or as soon as I can get the $$$ - will be a 15300 - black or white/silver dial...a Daytona or Patek Philippe Calatrava 5127.

I am thinking I may need to get a TRF seller to hunt down a 15300 for me if / when the time comes.

Thrilled to have these two APs... parted ways with my Diver in favour of the PP:

Both are 15300.

Hi Puffy, I've got a friend looking for a mint 15300OR. Mind PMing me details of the ADs if you recall their names/locations? Is this the Burlington Arcade area or...?

Thanks!

What worse is that others who come here to find the answer to your question get enabled as well..
