Rolex explorer history I don't understand
I read the story of the exp, which basically Rolex made a watch for the people working in caves or area not well lighted, the the reason of the orange hand and the bezel like the gmt, but I don't see all the features on the first version, so really it doesn't make sense. Can you guys chime me?

The Explorer 1 is for mountain climbing and general expeditions to the edge. If you're going to the heart of Africa to discover the source of the Nile or climb Kilimanjaro, you'd take an Explorer 1. The Exp1 can be fitted with special lubricants which can withstand extreme cold etc. It's a watch for a true action adventure.
The Explorer 2 was designed for people who do their exploring underground and unable to tell AM from PM, hence the GMT 24hr hand Sent from my using Tapatalk
