Really wish the photos were better because poor images can cost hundreds of $ in value. Couldn't tell either way if it was good or not. But if one is trying to hide something....
Chef - IMO those two links were to a non-original dial and a fake Ranger Here is my ratty Ranger

No comment as to if the watch is real or not but the watch / dial I found matched the one for sale.
Who ever brought the watch could have got a steel as the seller has sold lots of Rolex I would trust them. |

Chef - I am no expert but to the best of what I have found the sword hand is fake / aftermarket .
And I was looking at the wrong link regarding that dial and saw a refinished dial / description. If that is NOS that is a sweet find. I know it is easy to scream Fake / Franken but the vast majority of these I have seen have been faked or redialed regular tudors. Thanks - I like it a lot. I hadn't planned to get one for a while but this was once on VRF, sold, and then became available again. John

It gets really difficult to tell, especially from older images distorted by sexy-plexi crystals. And add that as opposed to other models, there is so little product brochure available from when they were originally made that is is even harder to nail down what is accurate and not accurate. If i decide to let it go I'll let you know ;) - I'm pulling trigger on a GMT and I'm getting "The Look" from the bride. I may need to make a choice
