Glidelock clicking folowup:

Some of you may remember my original thread about my glidelock clasp's tab loosening up, moving in the wrong direction, and making a very annoying clicking noise. If not, here is the link to the original thread if you're interested:

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=248101

Anyway, I went ahead and sent it in to RSC Dallas. In about a week, I received a written statement and phone call stating Rolex had evaluated the watch and would be fixing the clasp under warranty. I was not told at the time what the problem was.

Fast forward to this past Friday when Rolex called to let me know the watch was ready and had been shipped.

What you guys might find interesting (especially the naysayers from the previous thread): I probed the C.S. rep. as to what the service notes said and what the problem was. She couldn't tell me a whole lot but did say that it talked about soldering as a part of the repair of the clasp. By all reasonable standards when soldering is involved, one has to assume something was broken. Anyway, just thought I'd share as I'm sure there are some who are interested to hear the outcome. I do not have the watch back in hand yet but expect to sometime this week. I will give another update once I have it and can see the difference in person. More than anything, I'm just really excited to finally have my Sub C back as 3-4 weeks has felt like an eternity!

Very cool, glad to hear it is all resolved. I wonder if this is similar yet different to the clasp issues on the 116710's

Thanks for the update. It will be interesting to see if you can notice any differences when you get it back.
