Dwaine,
Rolex has just started incorporating the etched rehaut into the Rolex line..

You may find some early "M"s without, and some late "Z"s with, but pretty soon they will all have it..

I'll be buying one real soon... do I snatch up a Z series without or wait and get the M series with the new ring and warranty card?

That's purely a personal decision..

But, right now you can find "Z" models with both the warranty card and the CRB..., or if that's what you want ("M"/CRB) just tell your AD. They will check stock and see if they have one, or they will call you when it gets in..(or you can constantly bug them)

As far as function, the watches are identical..

The M-series SS Sub Date I saw at my AD a month ago did have the CRB, but as Larry says, you cannot really count on ALL "M"'s having the CRB, reason being that apparantly Rolex produces both Z and M-serial cases and CRB and NON CRB rehauts at the same time and those parts are assembled at random.
