Red and Blue
Haven't been around for a while due to concentrating on my daughters wedding plans...thought I'd better not leave all the stress to my wife.
The wedding took place in Zakynthos (Zante), Greece and was absolutely fantastic, aided by glorious weather and stunning views. As some of you know, dad left me his red 1680 when he passed away last December. He would have loved to have seen his first grandaughter married and would have been so proud of her. It was an emotional time for both my daughter and myself. Dad was there in spirit though, through his watch which never left my wrist during the whole stay in Greece and saw plenty of underwater action both in the pool and snorkelling in the sea. Thought I'd share a few pics of the 1680 in the sea looking out to Kefalonia and show you just how blue the waters are around the island of Zakynthos. I'll post some wedding pics in the open discussion forum tomorrow. |

Thanks for all the kind comments guys
Must admit that if I hadn't known that dads watch had been fully serviced by Rolex in late 2008, I might not have been so confident to wear it whilst swimming in the sea...but it was a great feeling to wear it to the deepest, darkest and undiscovered depths of about 3 feet Few more pics including a few at Olympia: |
