anyone have any thoughts on why this model takes a larger proportional hit on depreciation? i got one on a multi trade last spring and can't seem to figure it out.

looks good. great features etc... seems like one of the best bang-4-buck buys right now on the secondary market --- but why?

I personally like the 196.
I think it may be that with many Panerai owners, what draws them in is the clean dial lay out with minimal complications (in most cases anyway).
The chrono isn't as popular I think because of the busy dial and bezel. Just my opinion...
