Why so Much Plastic Stickers but none on crystal

It seems Rolex put so much protective stickers all over their watches but none on the crystal, all my Omega's and Breitling came with crystal stickers. Saying that they didn't have as many over the rest of the watch like Rolex.

Only the Milgauss GV came with a plastic covering. I have not seen others with it thus far.

Maybe the crystal is hardest part and least susceptible to scratches?

No stickers as there is no functional need.

If metal touches metal it scratches. If metal touches sapphire, it does not.

Rolex didn't anticipate a collision between one of their watch crystals and a diamond prior to delivery to the customer.

Also... Rolex do not use antireflective coatings (except for underneath the cyclops), so no need to protect against scratches

No need to touch the watch or even take it out of the box. They will live in there anyway...... Those stickers protect the watches from the fuzzy box. ROFL. Still noting better than seeing one in the wild with half the stickers on. Major FACEPALM!!!!!!

oh and I was just about gettin all entrepreneurial and comin out witha set of stickers for all WIS to stick it on their watches to prevent scratches. You don't think that'll work? it'll be transparent so won't be noticed.

I think that on the Tudor Pelagos there is a round plastic sticker that goes over the crystal when it is new from the AD......

I don't know why......

Maybe the crystal is AR coated? An AR coating can be fairly easily scratched...
