Forgive me for I have.........

I did the most awful, unbelievable thing. I have purchased a quartz watch after many years wearing mechanical watches and it is not Rolex!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does any one know and heard of Ronda 5050c movement? Does it matter if the movement is Swiss or Japanese or Chinese. A quartz is a quartz, isn't it?

You are correct, quartz is quartz. Makes not a matter in world where it was made. Now the batteries on the other hand....that is where people get into heated debates!!!

Yes, Mark. Yes, it is .

Don't feel bad. I just picked up this one. It's quartz, but doesn't need battery replacements:

There's nothing wrong buying/wearing a quartz watch.

Sometimes a mechanical/automatic isn't all that...

I was up in Timing and Scoring at Road Atlanta today and their Chief admired my Root Beer GMT - but then said he wondered why I didn't care what time it really was...while showing me his Casio!

Quartz is so 1975. Tick tick tick....enough! Stick to the warm, smooth, sweeping hands :)
