1680 Submariner bracelet in need of tightening

So my 1680 bracelet has got the "sags" (see attached), not worn out but close, and I was seriously considering trying to pinch the inner link pieces where they grab the next link's pin closed one at a time in a soft jaw vise very carefully to try to reduce the play in each link. Has anyone attempted this, or is there any other method for tightening up the bracelet?

Thanks!

Gort

i would not muck around with it myself, you will likely dent it then what ?, you can send it to Michael Young for repair, he only charges a few hundred for a steel band

Bad idea. Take David's advice and send it in to Micheal Young or just buy another and sell yours.

Thanks for the info on Michael Young, but is there anyone in the states who do this service? I really don't want to send my bracelet to Hong Kong if avoidable.

Yes, except he hasn't responded to my enquiry email in several days - not impressed at all...

He's known for great work and poor communication.

If I had to choose that would be the preferred compromise...

x 3, as I stated, don't be in a rush, you cannot be an anxious person worried if he does not respond for a week even constantly wanting updates he just does not work like that, he responds when he responds, i have never heard of him not returning a band to the owner

that may be, but he can't do or get the work without communicating with people. Still nothing. Sent another email, after that it's ...

I think you got crossed lines - he hasn't responded to the initial enquiry and doesn't even have the bracelet, so there's nothing to update or return and certainly no anxiety.

Thanks for the replies and comments. I will attempt to contact MY, as it looks like from the other thread running on this that he replaces the worn pins, much better than what I was going to attempt. Cheers!
