Another seen at Costco thread but in Japan

Very bad pictures from my very old cell phone taken at Costco last weekend in Japan.

Believe it or not this is a YG Green Dial GMT II C. Looks black and a bit SS in the pics.

2m Yen = £15.8k. MRSP is £22.5k.

Seems the same price as any other grey dealer.

Shame there's no Costco near me. 20-25% discount brings the price into "almost sensible" range.

I have yet to see Rolex at Costco here in US, but have seen Tag's and Breitlings, and Cartier.

Paul that is nothing. I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago. Grey dealer had a BNIB YG Green Dial Daytona for under 1,700.000 yen.

So I thought the Costco one was expensive.

There have been Rolex models in Costco in the US, they were DJ models and its been quite a few years since I have seen them.

Have to agree saving cash is aways king as long as its a genuine watch myself don't care who retails it.

You should see if you can further talk them down. I talked to a pawn store owner once who had bought himself a BNIB automatic omega seamaster for $500 at costco here in the states. They had wanted $1000, and he offered them the $500, and it had been in the case so long that they were willing to take $500.

Only downside is you probably can't avoid the sales tax at Costco which can be a lot on a 22.5k YG GMT.

My Costco sells fairly high end IWCs and a few PAMs in addition to the usual Breitling and Tags. They also sell a TT diamond dial lady's DJ.

Thank you for sharing Tom! I personally saw an IWC and a Speedmaster at the Costco near my parents' house and I know another member here posted a picture of a 250 platinum and diamond wedding ring from another one of their stores. They sure have quite the diversity in the stock they carry!

...Now about that reflection, I must say I didn't see until I read your post...and now I'm afraid to go to bed!

I agree, especially if you can take a 2 gallon bottle of maple syrup and a 5 feet long baguette on your way out...
