30% more.. it is worth it?

What think guys? The PAM 111 is worth 30% more than the PAM 005.It is worth paying the difference if the watchs are virtually equal in the sight?
Thanks...

if clear case back + sandwich + no logo (vs. solid back + sausage dial + logo) is worth 30% more to you, then, yes, it's worth it.

Sausage dial refers to painted/printed markers vs sandwiched and I prefer the 005.

My experience in the german Paneraicommunity is that most people start with the Sandwichdials and switch after a time to the painted Dials.
Sandwich Dials haven`t any historic Roots.
I had an 177 Sandwich and sold it to buy an 118,116 and 390.

Buy what you like............don't get caught up in the obsession of Panerai history and DNA. All these watches are beautiful in their own right

I have been having the same debate with the 000 vs the 112. At the moment, the 112 is winning as I prefer the slightly cleaner face. But that could change.

Worth it is personal but there are the difference that others have mentioned plus the movement is not the same, ie...decorations, swan neck etc to make it look good with the display back. I like the solid caseback but both are great watches.

Actually, I think the movements are exactly the same?

Both list the following:

Movement: hand-wound mechanical, Panerai OP XI calibre with swan's neck regulator, 16½ lignes, 17 jewels, Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges. Glucydur® balance with Nivarox® I spring, 21,600 alternations/hour.
Incabloc® anti-shock device.
Power reserve 56 hours.
Chronometer Certificate (C.O.S.C.)

EDIT: Oops! You are right. The above is for the 111 and below is for the 005.

Movement: hand-wound mechanical, Panerai OP II, 16½ lignes, 17 jewels, Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges. Glucydur® balance with Nivarox® I spring, 21,600 alternations/hour.
Incabloc® anti-shock device.
Power reserve 56 hours.
Chronometer Certificate (C.O.S.C.).

Really?

And what would it matter anyway? Not every Panerai buyer cares about such things

Please forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between the sandwich dial (111) with painted dial (005). I thought it was called by the glass sandwich carrying back but it seems that is the color of the dial. I need you to teach me. Thank you.

You are the one who has to wear it.
Love looking at my Sammy (!!) dial at an angle seeing the contours and shadows.
It seems so unique.

Is there a significant difference in lume between the two either in brightness, colour or time it stays "lumy"??
