sub c no date or 14060m
hi, I am new to the forum, I am trying to decide between purchasing a new 14060m or the ceramic 114060, if they were a similar price which watch would you go for?
thanks |

I have them both and love them both the 14060 is a more understated watch with the original design and flys under the radar, the 114060 stands out much more cause of the flashy ceramic bezel and bigger lugs. I get compliments on the 14060 from those in the know but with the 114060 I get compliments from everyone. Ultimately I would choose the 114060 as it is a heavier duty watch and better built in my eyes.

thanks for the reply, I have tried them both on, I prefer the lugs on the 14060m but prefer the bezel and bracelet on the 114060, my main concern with the 114060 is the size of the lugs as I have fairly small wrists. I wanted to purchase new and I am able to get a better discount on the 114060 so they are similar price

Weigh the pros and cons of both, then make your choice based on that!
You need to be happy in the end, and that's what matters most! Good luck on your dicision...

In my eyes you get a lot more bang for your buck especially as you can get then both for roughly the same price. Maxi dial, blue lume, solid band, glidelock clasp, ceramic bezel, maxi case to me it adds up to a better looking watch. The 14060 is a great watch but the updated version is exactly that an updated version. But if you like the 14060 better then go with it. Either way you can't go wrong.

I have small a small wrist and I'm 5'6" with a lean built. I still went with the new supercase.
Goodluck on your purchase! |

My preference is the 14060. It's surprising that the price is close to the same, although close to the same in my definition might be different than yours.
Price aside for me 14060/m without a doubt. But, if you can get the new model at a good price and you like it better, then it's an easy choice! |

Doubtful you'll find the two models at roughly the same price unless the newer one is severely damaged. It will be $1000-1500 higher.
For me the 14060M is the better choice.

I had a similar dilemma in choosing between a 16610 and a 116610.
I liked all the changes in the newer model except the wider lugs. Ultimately I ended up with the 116610. While I occasionally yearn for narrower lugs, I have never regretted my decision. I do think that in some photos that the lugs on the new subs appear quite pronounced, but they are not as noticeable when the watch is on your wrist. Good luck with your decision. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. |

As mentioned earlier, these two watches are unlikely to be found, authentic, and similar in price.. If, however, the 114060 is found at a greatly reduced price, it's a no brainer for me... the new ceramic any day..

There's a big price difference and the two watches are very different. No bad choice here

Depends on what you are looking for in a watch - in this particular purchase. And, of course, which one speaks to you.
The old school tool watch lugs with holes of the 14060M speaks to me, at least for that spot in my humble collection. If I were to have but one watch, of your two choices, i would go witht he Sub C ND, if blessed so as to have more than one in the stable, then things become more compicated. Happy Hunting.

Best to try on both if you have the opportunity. Might be difficult as the 14060 is now discontinued. Good luck with your choice.

From experience, the 14060m is a more comfortable watch, you will probably end up with both in the long run

The 14060 in a heartbeat. The dimensions are just right, and it's low key, restrained. But if you want the flash......

Sub C is robust!
Bought it on the spot, while wearing my 14060, never wore the 14060 since that day! |

I have a 20 y/o 14060 and I love it. Picked it up from service yesterday and it looks brand new! While at the ad I saw the new Sub c ND and I must say it is fantastic looking watch.
