Tudor Tiger on OEM Strap...
Can anyone tell me/show me how the bracelet connects to the end pieces?
Can any replacement strap be used with them? Also 20mm lugs, right? Thanks....!!! |

Mickey,
There are two sets of lug holes. The lower holes going thru the lug hold the strap in place, the upper internal lug holes hold the end links in place. The lug width is 20mm. Most straps will fit but some of the bulkier straps might be a bit too thick to fit with the end links. Also, Tudor chrono straps are extra short on the 6:00 side and a bit longer on the 12:00 side. This allows the single fold Tudor deployant clasp to sit centered under the wrist. Most non original straps have different dimensions than the Tudor and have some trouble centering the clasp. I had a custom carbon fiber made to fit the original strap length. Hope this helps, dP

Respect, to Dan The "Tudor" Man
If i may add a couple pics as a humble student of his the full set with the watch on its bracelet and the strap with its end links and the 2 pair of pins (1 for the end links, 1 for the strap itself) here is the bracelet without its end links who are different than the ones for the strap. I can't find a pic with the end links for the bracelet. Also in the pics below you can see the "weird opposite way" that a Tudor uses a strap |

Don't know for sure but I think the dial with the shadow effect came first.

Wow guys, that is a really old thread ! Funny is that before 5 days i ordered a shark strap for my 79260P. Straps are available only from the Rolex Service Centers. I ordered a black matt XL shark strap and i'll have it in 4-5 weeks. The price was 160 € the same for both shark and buffalo. The ladies at the reception logged in a Rolex webpage in their iPad, only available for Rolex staff, in order to find the reference number for the strap. They gave me the Ipad to scroll down the page and see all the available types, lengths and colours. I played a bit within the 79260P and saw the reference numbers and from the last screw of the bracelet. That was awesome to have in your hands and online the part numbers from everything that Rolex produces or produced !!!! Of course not available to us common mortals. |
