Is this a legit DJ 16220

Hi, I bought this DJ 16220, it seems legit and the movement looks right but just want to make sure before I send him the cash. It's a 2004 "F" serial number. The price was $3550 which seems like it was ok. When I looked online I saw older ones (90's) going between 3000-3500.

Thanks it will be my first Rolex. It looked like it was real although I have seen some pretty convincing fakes in Chinatown here in NYC so I just wanted to ask the people who have more experience with them. Do you think the price I paid is the norm for this watch? a little less than normal or a little more? (I got it for $3,550)

I've wanted one since I was a teenager (I'm 37 now) so I'm pretty excited to own one.

Seems that the underside of the lugs needs re-satination, though... they shouldn't be polished.

No, from a jeweler in Atlanta, Georgia. I checked him out and he seems legit. I also plan on taking it to Tourneau in NYC to have them check it out once I get it. I feel at ease because my CC company protects me from fraud and since I paid via paypal that's a little more protection

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to getting it. If he ships it Monday I'll have it Tuesday (free 1 day shipping)

Spoke to the guy on the phone he said it's a beautiful watch in like new condition. Also has a 14 day return policy so that's good. As soon as I get it I'm going to go to the Rolex service center in NYC and have it checked out by them as well.

Any tips you can give a new owner? I actually havent even worn a watch for over 10 years(usually just use my smartphone) and the last watch I owned was a Movado

Give it 40 full winds, set it and enjoy. Pics when you get it!

Fantastic Dial choice. You will be very happy.

You can purchase a "personal articles policy" from your insurance guy for about $100/ yr. That would cover your watch if for instance you were to loose it, someone stole it, or the bracelet pin were to slip out, etc. Its cheap insurance if you're worried about your expensive watch.

Enjoy!

My watch will be here on Wednesday :-)

Although after looking more I do think I paid a little too much for it. It's a 2004 and it cost me $3550 (without box or papers) I just hope I didn't grossly overpay.. When I was looking around I found many that were in the range on 3000-3500 (for older 90s ones up to mid 2000s) and now that I bought mine I'm finding better deals (deals I didn't see before I bought mine)

I do have 14 days to return it so I think I might do that and try to find a better deal.

Great watch. Even greater that you covered it with your CC in the event what you get is "suspect." Even the best that you did it via PayPal. If fishy, simple process (smash watch with rock, if required, smile, or send it back to owner, boo) to get money back.
