I was about to pull the trigger, then ...
Sometimes there are things in life that happen for a reason, this is a crazy one.
Last thursday evening I almost ... purchased a rolex submariner 116610LN. I was in the store for quite some time, price was better than I expected from an AD in Montreal, it was like too good to be true honestly, it was even better than from a reputable seller on TRF to give you an idea... I was about to commit the crime, then for an unknown reason, wife was asking me of a coffee. It was a cold evening in Montreal and we were walking for quite some time before getting into the store, and she was still cold. So I said, why not, let's go get a coffee then we'll be back in 30 min... This is where the nice part of the story start. While having a coffee, I looked up my mails and guess what, a mail from DavidSW, he was finally able to source a pre-owned 15300 white dial, complete box set and now, I am having an espresso, coming back from the bank to wire him the money. I don't have to tell you that I didn't walked back to the AD to purchase the watch, but to simply tell him that we wouldn't be having a deal but I greatly appreciated his kindness and aggressive price. Let's just say he was disappointed..I might one day get the sub, but for now, it is a 15300 incoming. If I had not looked up my phone to check my mails and simply swipe the credit card, there wouldn't be any 15300 incoming or else wife would go mad :) Cheers and I'll post pictures when it knock on the door. |

Excellent choice! I'd pick a Royal Oak 15300 over a Sub any day, plus you just can't go bad by purchasing from DavidSW. David is the man when it comes to trusted sellers and especially APs. I've purchased two from him myself.

Well done! The AD shouldn't be disappointed, they'll sell the Sub no problem at all.

What we have learnt from the story - "Always have a coffee with your wife/friend before making a watch purchase, and while you are at it, check your mail"
Back to the watch. Many congrats on the watch, a big fan of the white dial RO. Look forward to your "New Arrival" post. |

DavidSW is like the watch fairy -- he always finds ways to make your watch dreams come true! I'm glad that you are happy with the outcome. As an owner of both the 15300 and SubC, I have to say that they are both spectacular. There's plenty of room in a collection for both (assuming you get a wife's blessing to do so ).

Jackson,
You make things even harder for me now. This is a real nice combo you've got there. Congrats. As for the wife blesing, no issues there, she helped me pull the trigger for the watch with the screws, as she says ;) |
