Advice from Breitling Experts Needed

Hi Guys,

This December I have received permission from my wife to add 1 watch (one watch only) to my collection.

The budget is around USD 8000...

So I planned to purchase a pre owned TT Submariner (blue dial)...

But suddenly I found out that a pre owned watch store here selling a New Old Stock of Breitling Chronomat Evolution in 18KYG & Steel with British Racing Green Dial as per the picture below. The price is around USD 4750...

That watch really amazed me...what a beauty...

So I really need your opinion guys...Should stick with my old plan to get a pre owned TT Submariner (blue dial) or should I take the New Old Stock Breitly Chronomat Evolution.....

Please tell me about this watch...is this a good watch? What about the price?

Thank you very much for your opinions...

Regards,

I have one - it is a wonderful watch and gets a lot of wrist time because it is so versatile - suit to jeans.

It is a little bulky - more than the rolex sub - but that's also the appeal of the watch. It's not going to always fit under the cuff like a rolex but it doesn't bother me at all.

Movement is great and accurate. Perfect to swim with - all around great watch.

Regarding the price... I'd say you should revisit it. I wouldn't pay anything over $3,800 for a leather band option - a few hundred more for a bracelet in excellent condition. There are many people trying to sell their Chronomat evolution for the B01 - so you can benefit from that. You can even check the classifieds here and find a very slightly used B01 for around $5k.

FYI - the movement is not "in-house" with the Chronomat evolution as is the case with the B01.

As Alex said, it's a bit pricey. I had the all SS model with the graphite dial and it was a great watch. I'd still go with the Sub over this.

I've personally been in that watch less than 50% of the quoted
Retail price. Perhaps not nos, but sheesh that seems a bit topside.

Thank you guys for the opinions....

I'll inform the seller that his price is a little bit pricey...hopefully he will understand and reduce the price::))

Once again thank you for your opinions..

did he ever come down on the price? I paid less then that for my Super Avenger with the high polish and pro2 polished bracelet, and from an AD... seems way high, especially with the leather strap.
