With respect I would disagree with Dr. Robert.
I live in the area and I'm not a big fan of Universal Watch Repair. They were kind of arrogant with me. Universal is well known for their repair services but to me they didn't seem particularly interested in people who like Rolex. Literally a block down from Universal and next to the Birmingham Theater is a great watch store named "Back in Time International" (www.backintimeintl.com) - I would personally recommend them. I bought my pre-owned coke GMT II 16710 from "Back in Time International". They have a rolex parts account and do expert repair. If you are looking for a non-AD local option - check them out. The owner's name is Kirk Putze and his wife's name is Michelle. They run a very nice boutique style shop and were even written up in Fortune Magazine a couple of years ago. |
