Another One Bites The Dust!!!

Using my 4000th post to announce that I have again traded away one of my watch family for another new timepiece. The new one is very different from any that I have had before. It is actually something that I have said that I am not the biggest fan of. Yet at the same time, the first time I saw this watch in the flesh, I was in lust!!

It is a durable and versatile watch, and I am excited to add it to the two that I have left. What is it you ask?.............................

It doesn't arrive until tomorrow at noon so if I have to wait, so do you.

The guys that know, SHUT UP!!

How about a hint. At least give us a calibre number.

Hey, the waiting can't be worse than what I am going through.

I am just having to be content with my YM today and tonight since the 88 is away at the spa too.

I'll tell you this, it is a chronograph and even though I am not a fan usually, this one had me by the short hairs the first time I laid eyes on it.

Process of elimination tells you the 111. He said that his 88 is away at the spa and he has to be "content" to wear his YM. I'd be content with that also. Can't wait to see what it is Daren.

Daren, didn't I read some where you can't do what you just did ? As you read further down the penalty is which gets you to and tell us what your new watch is going to be.

I know exactly which member of the family is gone, and what the new member is, and to use a JJism, "it's a cracker of a watch!"

However, I'm sworn to secrecy until the official unveiling.

Yep JJ, it's ending up like your GMT, your GMTII, your white ExpII, your TT blue Sub, your Subdate, your DJ, your SD and soon your black ExpII.

All gone.... bye bye!

Hmmmm....you are right on most counts, Johnny, but I've grown quite accustomed to the black Exp-II for the simple reason that I've been wearing it like five days a week - keeping the YM only for weekends and outings.

I really do love the Exp-II because it is by far the most comfortable of all the Rollies I've owned. If you remember, I had said the same thing about the white Exp-II last year...I mean the comfort factor.

What I really love about the watch is the FIXED bezel and the way its SS brushed finish contrasts with the black dial. That has a certain amount of appeal!!

I've grown so attached to my Explorer that it only leaves my wrist for a shower. I never slept in watches, but since I've been sleeping in another room 'cause of the shingles, I've worn it to bed at night too. Tam's been wearing the OQ so I've not even worn it lately. If I do trade for another Rollie, it'll be hard to share time with my Explorer

My ExpII is basically the same. I wear it everyday, everywhere (except to shower and sleep). Very comfortable!

And I think its enormous comfy factor can be attributed to the fact that it is exactly 39 mm and not 40 mm...no matter what Rolex and the others stipulate....it is positively 39 mm and 39 mm ONLY!!
