Late 40's Dual Branded Rolex/Tudor Model 4835

I am picking up this watch for around $200 USD. I know it is in bad shape, but my Rolex dealer will clean and run through it thoroughly. What do you guys think?

Not bad for $200, serviced. I like the patina-ed dial, which appears to be original (possibly for the Canadian market).

Well there is some deception going on here. The Tudor text is original but the Rolex text isn't. Someone has added the Rolex name to a Tudor watch to increase its value. Quite a few Tudors have been given this treatment and sadly this isn't original.

Whether the whole thing is a redial and the Rolex text added later is for someone else to answer.

Very few examples of a co-branded Tudor Rolex exist from the factory. This isn't one of them.

I agree, this watch would worth more if the "rolex" was not on the dial

Thanks guys! I also saw that as well. I really like the way it looks plus the age. $200 serviced isn't a bad deal I don't think....

Yes! It was for the Canadian market.
