Is there a limited edition Rolex Sub in all gold with diamonds?

I ask this because I met this guy 3 years ago in a lounge bar, he was wearing what I think was a sub but it was all gold with diamonds all over it! It had diamonds on the bezel and bracelet.

He told me it was worth $250.000 and that it was a limited edition of which only 3 were made and 2 belonged to rappers.

All I remember is that it was one bad-ass watch, you needed sunglasses to see what time it was.

Does this Rolex exist?

Very possible but without knowing more detail kind of hard to know. There have been several really blinged out models in the past.

Last time I was in Vegas The Bellagio Hotel had a Green Sub with diamonds and emeralds on the bezel and bracelet that are all factory Rolex (Not Modified) for sale at 6 figures. It was an eye sore IMO but to each their own.

Very elaborate way to bling the functionality right out of the watch. I suppose at that point though you'd have an entourage big enough that each member of your crew could have his watch set to a different time zone in case you need to know.

And I realize the pic is on an angle but the date wheel looks blank also.

That one's not for me.

It was in yellow gold with all diamonds, it did look a bit like the GMT, but I had no clue which model it was, cuz with all the gold and bling diamonds you couldn't even tell the time, let alone which model it was.
All I remember was that everyone who walked by him at the bar looked at his watch and asked him about it, he always told them "it looks real doesn't it?"
But only a few people knew it was real, cuz he wears a different Rolex every day.

Not limited edition, just low volume.

If a billionaire wanted a couple of hundred of these things Rolex would happily oblige.

Ah, that might be it, cuz he is a billionaire, or very close, since he has his own private equity and venture capital fund invested over 2.3 billion.

So I guess there are no pics of this watch then?

Exactly but today the word rare or limited is dropped on many Rolex models, even some made in there hundreds or possible thousands. With say 3186 movements and tiny font changes to inserts etc, no modern Rolex watch is rare and not many limited only a few like the TOG for the Japanese market. Now left hand wind Rolex watches now they are rare and they was very limited.
