111 deal ?
Hi Pam Fan
I need some advice. My AD offer pee-owned 5 years old 111, just have service from Panerai with 1 year guarantee and add 2 new OEM leather straps for HK$ 20,000 . Is it good deal ? And also I have 005. Is 111 too similar look to my 005 ? Thanks |

That's about AUD2.5k? Does not sound too bad, considering the price of OEM straps
The 005 is a nice watch, but I prefer the 111 because of the sandwich dial, display caseback and appearance of the dial (I'm not crazy about the logo). Ultimately they are very similar watches, so I guess it's up to you and how you feel about what you are collecting ![]()

I think if you check the price of the straps you will see what sort of a deal you are getting
HKD20k is about USD2.6k which sounds reasonable to me. Is the 111 a full set i.e. all boxes and papers? Rightly or wrongly, PAM resale value is sensitive to the 'completeness' of the package Like many PAMs, the two models are visually similar but with detail differences. If you are concerned that they are too alike, then either keep the 005 and pass on the 111, or sell the 005 and buy the 111 ![]()

Thanks for the reminder. I will ask the 111 have full set or not ?
I assume that is very good deal but I am struggle that Is good deal enough for me to have two similar watch 005 and 111 ? For me, either pass the 111 good deal or keep both 005 and 111 |

Thought the price is very reasonable... In fact a little on the low side?

My honest opinion, which is what I think you want here, different sides, is that for ME, they'd be too similar. Since you already have the 005, I'd go with something more complimentary, either a base, or if you prefer Marina, a sub, or a rad. This way you'd get two completely different Pam looks for different occasions. That's just what I would do, not saying YOU should do it. They are different enough (sandwich vs sausage, logo vs clean, sapphire case back vs SS). It's hard to pass up a great deal though. So I understand the dilemma. If it's too good to pass up you can always buy it and flip one or the other if you find they are too much the same for you. I doubt you would lose any money since you're already buying so low, so it's not really that much of a risk). Good luck with your decision, I'd love to hear what you end up doing!

Sounds like a good deal if it is a full set. You can easily flip that and make a profit!

If you buy to flip, ensure that you have a buyer lined up first. Otherwise, pass on the watch and keep life simple

Where are you buying from, which country? 20,000HK$ works out at around £1.6k, for a 111 and 2 straps

It is from UK AD. The story is AD has customer want to trade in his 5 years old 111 for new 18k gold PAM from AD. I do not familiar to PAM pre-owned price, how much worth for 5 years old 111 with 2 new OEM strap and 1 year guarantee |

Well I sold a 111 about a year ago for around £2.8, it was less than a year old, but if yours is fully serviced being 5 years old doesn't matter as it's the service costs that bring the price down on older models, if they haven't been serviced, as yours has it shouldn't affect the price that much being 5 years old. Straps are around £150 and the gator strap, which I love are over £200, so if you can get 2 of those, it would be a great deal. If as I say it's the real thing from a trusted seller then you are easily saving £1000, if not a lot more, and that's not taking the 2 straps into account. |

005 and 111
The two watches are similar and I love both. Two and a half months ago I bought a new 111 ( I got a good price and the warranty for 3 years) and would have preferred a 005 because it is cheaper. There are available by Internet but I shop only face to face as a watchmaker reviews the watches for me before the purchase. I did not undestand the price HK 20000 ?
