Ruggedly handsome. Huge. A head turner. (i'm talking about the watch )
I prefer the black one as pictured. It would look great on your wrist Robert. I prefer a Rolex over any Omega, but for variety and the 10% off, that would definitely seal the deal for me.

Robert, that is one fine looking Omega... I would just worry about depreciation in case I wanted to sell it at some point. Just my 2 cents. Cheers, Bill P.

That is a fine piece just make sure that you have a look at the reviews and opinions regarding that movement first OK? There are several postings on TZ for example. The prices don't seem too high for resale but if yopu have an additional 10% off and your not flipping it I'd say go for it as that black version in particular is a real beauty!

I just bought an Omega Railmaster and was very impressed with the model you are considering. For those discounts, and assuming it's nicely within your budget then I would certainly go for it.

The only thing to consider IMO if you like the looks is whether you will enjoy the size and weight of that watch. I had a 45.5mm non-chrono PO which was too big for me (7.5 inch wrist), I traded it for a 42mm and am much happier. Prior to buying the 45.5, I had tried on the Chrono version and elected to go with the non-chrono because it seemed much smaller. As much as I love the Chrono, there was no way I could wear it for any length of time it really is huge and heavy especially if you are coming to it from the Rolex world. I would say, find one locally and try it on before you commit because they depreciate faster than you can say depreciation.

42mm PO on 7.5" wrist
45.5mm PO on the same wrist: The pictures are taken at different distances so the latter one looks grossly enlarged, just try to look at the sizes relative to my wrist. Last edited by jhowton; 19 December 2007 at 06:33 AM.. Reason: to clarify relative scale of pictures |

The PO also looks great on a black leather strap. I have a black and an orange, no subdials. Love 'em. Cheers, Larry.
