ladies oyster perpetual datejust

Hi im hoping somebody could help me. My wife has been left a timepiece which sadly doesnt have any paperwork with it just the box. The model number is 69288 and the serial number is r458430 im trying to find out a little about it and how much I should be insuring it for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks kris.

Hello,
Did you try Google? Ebay? It's easy to find the range of prices that way, although you need to determine its condition and authenticity throughout.

An insurance company will likely not base a value on your watch because you asked an Internet forum what a 25 year old Ladies Datejust watch is worth....

Insurance vaues are based on replacement.. You should get your watch properly appraised...

Of course I do not want to contradict a Mod but you can post some (good) pictures and people here can give you some general comments on the watch.
Then of course you'll need a proper appraisal.
