Gerry's Got The Blues, the TT Sub Blues!

Guys, I couldn't wait and bought the 16613 yesterday and it's beautiful in the flesh!! I'm glad it's on MY flesh! Right now, I'm just getting over the fact that I bought my first Rolex. The only problem (and this is a BIG one) is that I've started thinking about what I want next After all, I NEED a chronometer and I NEED a dress watch and I need a watch to wear where I wouldn't wear a Rolex and I NEED a ... etc. You know how it goes

Obligatory hairy wrist shots of the watch will follow soon.

Thanks to everyone for your advice and especially to DannyTam for his invaluable help in putting me in touch with this particular AD who just turned out to be great and gave me a bunch of catalogs and watch magazines in the bargain. I think he could sense an urge I didn't know I had

JJ, your stunning photos of Bluesy *may* have contributed 'just a teensy bit' as well Maybe this one should be called Bluey in tribute

Here's to becoming a TT Tosser!!!

Thanks, everyone! It certainly is a stunning watch. I though I'd scratched the clasp last night when my rubbing failed to remove the blemish - then I realised that there was *still* a piece of plastic left. I took it off and all's good now

Doh! I replied to this and only got what you meant afterwards. I also need the big Hollywood smile for that final touch ... and maybe a lollipop!

Nice Goin', Gerry........I also had to think twice about the headshaving/glasses comment for a second. So, if that is all that is required to join the Bluesy Club, get on it! Certainly seems worth it to me...gha

Awesome watch! Enjoy! I would think Bluesy is dressy enough to wear with black tie. I am not sure if you need to get a dress watch after Bluesy. The chronograph is another story though...

Gerry, what are your thoughts of the CRB on TT Blue? Does it make much of a cosmetic difference?

Not at all. I hardly notice it unless I'm looking out for it and I like that the serial number is on the ring as well.

Thank you everyone for your very kind words. I'm enjoying myself every time I look at this watch - I can look at the watch without noticing what the time or date is

I'm sure the honeymoon period will end at some point but right now, life is sweet

By the way, I think the watch was predestined since this is my fountain pen:

Thanks Gerry for the answer that I was looking for. I have passed up on some good deals because I want the CRB. To me, I like the extra layer of security. And the fact that the CRB identifies it as the latest model is something I'm interested in since the TT blue has been around for years.

And I know what you mean about blue possibly being destiny. Even though my Rolex is green, I only have a few shirts that are green as well as a jacket. If I were to look at what I have is blue, it's everywhere. My car is steel blue, my pen is dark blue, my phone is steel blue, most of my shirts are blue and even my employer's company logo is blue.
