TT Submariner - Blue or Black Dial
Hi Guys,
Need your advice here. Actually Blue and black dial.. which is better? In terms of demands, value and looks... Actually I went to an AD, and tried a Blue Dial one... felt that black dial might be better... Any advice? |

You're going to receive varying advice, but at the end of the day the best one for you is the one you have the most difficult time handing back at the AD. I chose the black dial.

The Blue or Black TT Sub is a personal choice...
I think the Blue is one of the most beautiful watches made....I just wouldn't wear one...it's not me.. Your watch should be a personal reflection of your taste and personality so get the one you will feel most comfortable wearing.. I've been wearing a TT Black off and on, but primarily, for the past two decades and even though SS has been getting my attention the past few months, I know I will go back to the TT Black ...it's just become part of who I am.. |

Certainly the blue Sub is one of the most coveted Rolexes and is an icon in its own right, but that isn't to say that it's more valuable or will be in 20 or 30 years---no one knows.
Agree with the fine advice that's been bestowed. You'll need to try both on and see which one elicits the greatest positive response. Then wear it and enjoy it... |

I prefer the black personally. Keep trying both on and one will sing louder that the other!

Try them both on and keep each of them on for several minutes. One of them will be much harder to take off and hand back. Whichever one that you don't want to give back is the right one for you!
Most importantly, don't worry about which one matches your clothing, car, house, or your dog's eyes. Just get the one that calls to you the strongest. Either way, you can't lose. Both are fantastic looking watches. How often in real life do you get to choose in a win-win scenario??!? Rawhyde PS I got the blue, but your mileage may vary... |

There is something magical about Rolex gold with Rolex Blue. It goes together so perfectly. If it were my choice, I would vote for Blue.
You should ask JJ what he thinks....I think he prefers the black dial..LOL. |

Welcome to TRF!
Personally I prefer the BLUE Sub, but the black is also very handsome and more understated. If the black Sub smiles back at you, I suggest you go for that one!

The Blue, mainly because I think that's what sets it apart from the SS Sub. That's not to say the black doesn't look nice of course.

You can see the replies are very varied :) I ended up getting the blue but I know others who have gotten the black and prefer it. They're both nice looking but personally I feel blue has the edge since there are a lot of watches out there with black bezels but I don't recall seeing any with blue.
