Icon5 47mm Luminor strap help needed

Hi all

I wonder if you could please advise. I have recently bought a PAM423 from my local OP and managed to negotiate a free black/ecru Aligator strap into the deal.

The strap arrived today but to my surprise it is 26/26 and doesnt fit my 22mm buckle that fits both the Brown Assolutamente and Black Rubber straps included with the watch. This means I cant use it without buying a new Tang buckle when I was hoping to reuse and share the existing one.

The packaging on the Aligator strap says:

MX0032FS
Alligator Black Semimat
BLACK
26/26 BA 125/75

Please advise if this is the correct strap (the panerai website is suitably vague on the strap dimensions) for my 47mm PAM.

Regards
Adam

The 422/423 comes with a 26/22. You negotiated an extra strap which would require 26 sized buckle. You can pick one up on the internet cheap or trade the strap. 26/26 is better. Message me if you want to trade or sell the 26.

Yes the strap is the correct one... I dont think they make 26/22 straps too often as they are typically 27/22. It looks better on the non tapered strap too.

Get the 26mm buckle and you will be very happy with the 26/26 look.

Thanks for the responses

In fairness I negotiated "any offical strap", but it would seem an additional buckle was more than they would offer. On hindsight having seen how much Panerai charge for them I can perhaps see why! Anyway, I then went on panerai.com and picked out the black/ecru aligator strap under the Luminor 47mm section heading. From there I popped back in the store and pointed it out to the dealer and said "I'll have that one please". I never actually crossed my mind that it wouldnt be 26/22 as per the straps supplied with the watch and therefore that I wouldnt be able to use my existing buckle.

Ive googled 26mm Pre-V buckles but I can only really find cheap imitations online mostly on ebay. Whilst I'm not in a hurry to pay the RRP £180 from my dealer for what is just a tiny bit of OEM metal I would rather get either a discounted OEM buckle from somewhere or a very high quality replica.

Could you recommend a good place to buy either of those?

Regards

Funny, I easily negotiated a strap from my AD with my 233, but they wouldn't go for including the buckle.

There lots of decent buckles for reasonable cost. I have had good luck with Panatime, or contact Rich at Toshi straps in London.
