I was asked...

why I keep the boxes, tags, manual, plastic covers and everything else you get when you buy a brand new watch. My answer was: "Why should I not keep them." Do you guys keep everything you get or you throw them away?

I keep everything. It not only makes resale easier, it's just the way I am about things. I even have all the packaging from my Seiko's and Citizens. No reason not to keep them.

I've been keeping them since the late 70's and have amazed quite a bit of Rolex memorabilia. Brings back all the memories.

I keep EVERYTHING... I recently declined to buy an Omega because the original items were incomplete, in poor shape and some substituted. I think this little OCD behavior is indicitive of the kind of care and esteem in which the watch was held.

I keep everything, too. My AD left out the hang tags and I went back & retrieved them. They are part of the big package from the excellent evening I made the purchase. Great memories indeed, Wolfgang! I got a Sub anchor and a leather warranty holder from Jeff (Colemanitis) to help complete the set. The only thing missing is the bezel protector!

Although I have no intention of ever parting with my EXP11, I just love the box and papers - they are part of the package and I get a kick out of sitting my dark friend in his box every now and then to remind me of the fun I had opening the box in a Hong Kong hotel room....pure magic, diamond day
