stem screw
Hi
I just wanted to change the crown on my old watch but managed to turn that small screw too far to the left. Is there a simple way to catch the nut again ? . The watch is more than 50 years old and it is not the first time I change the crown but yesterday I certainly woke up on the wrong foot as we say here !. Regards |

Sorry but MERDE is probably an appropriate reaction.

Usually when this happens the dial must be removed to gain access to the set lever(the part the small screw is attached to). With the dial off you can hold the set lever in place and screw the screw back into the set lever.
Best of luck to you, Cheers

Hi
Many thanks to the 3 of you ![]() I have taken the dial off and understood how the set lever is fixed. Do you need 30 mn to put the hands back ? I still have to practice ! Very friendly François |
