The Iconic Rolex MoonPhase Padellone Ref. 8171 in Giant 38mm Pink Gold & NewOld Stock

http://rolexpassionreport.com/11116/...ock-condition/

To find a Pink Gold Padellone Ref 8171 is rare..The giant Rolex automatic MoonPhase & Triple Kalender hardly any of us has the chance to obtain one. To find it as a safe keeper, New Old Stock and unpolished, making the gold even more pink due to the long rest it had in the dark, is just spectacular moment…

The very unusual dial version immediately pops up, Rolex & Perpetual all the way up and OCC all the way down. Next the big waterproof pink gold Super Oyster Crown is also very unusual as normally we see a sleek thin winding crown. Maybe this waterproof crown was fitted because of the waterproof updated little later Oyster model, the Stelline Ref 6062 had it standard..

The giant 38mm pink gold case compared to the Everest Rolex from 1953…

Clearly visible gold hallmark, the untouched condition, the original Rolex polished in all it’s refined detail and razor sharp edges..

The dial has nicely aged patina and it’s a wonder that such a important Rolex watch was bought back in the days, gifted and never worn!..

Two magical Red Rolex.. Oman Asprey Red Daytona & 8171 Padellone in pink gold…

MORE here:http://rolexpassionreport.com/11116/...ock-condition/

Hope you like it as much as I do! ;)

Greetings Philipp

Excellent is a small word to describe such a find.

I wonder why they do NOT make a watch like it today !!

Date, Day, Month, Moon, so classic and so nice. I would be proud to wear such a watch.

Thank You for sharing with such detailed photos. Enjoy

That's a fake vintage Breitling! Most complicated watches of that era including Rolex used the Valjoux V72C with or without modifications or some Valjoux variation.

Here's some pics of a V72C movement on my triple date 18kt rose/pink gold 1946 Breitling Datora.

By the way, why is everything on the watch in English but the day/date is in Dutch? How does that happen? Did you have the day/date swapped out from English to Dutch?

Yes some of the most collectible Rolex watches made today don't even have a Rolex in-house made movement inside.

It's actually French but if you ask me they were probably changed. I know the Rolex Day-Date's day and date discs come in 26 different languages, perhaps it was the same with this reference'S day and month discs.
