Either would be a fantastic present. My honest feeling having previously owned a white face Daytona AND having recently bought my wife a black face Daytona is that although it is a fantastic watch it is a bit more unisex than a Royal Oak and that's why a lot of women who are into watches will wear a Daytona. A Royal Oak is much more of a mans watch. The plus side with a Daytona is that you would lose very little on it as and when you sell it.
A customer of mine bought his sons Daytonas for their 21st birthdays. Last year I went to his house and I was wearing either a Diver or a Panda and his son said he wished his father had bought him an AP! Nuff said. |

Have you tried them on because one wears like a 39mm and the 400 like a 42/3mm.

they are pretty different....if ROC vs. daytona, i would have to think long and hard due to the price difference, but, between 15400 and daytona, 15400 all day everyday.

I have both and the Daytona feels like home, don't get me wrong I love my 15400 but if I had to choose only one I would have to go with the Daytona, it just feels right and built like a tank with the AP I always have to be more carefull.
Ask the same question on the Rolex section snd you might get a different answer than the AP section. Did I mentioned my Daytona is just around+ 3-4 seconds per week :) |

i have tried on the 15400, but not the 15300. Maybe i should try to find one and see how it feels. It might be hard to find though being that it is discontiued. The 37mm is just too small for me.!
