New sub bezel

I just had my sub serviced by my local Rolex dealer and had the metal bezel replaced (faint scratch) for an additional $125. In comparing the new to the old I noticed that my old bezel has a mirror finish while the new bezel has a dull matte finish. Any ideas why this would be? When I called the dealer about it he said they may be able to buff it to get the mirror finish. Does this sound right?

Thanks for any help.

It would just be from a different batch.....don't sweat it!
Also, don't have them buff it, as It will most likely just ruin the new insert.

No idea why this might be but I'd say it's more of a deal then they're making out- in trying to work out what makes my Daytona have such class I realised that the mirror finish on the bezel means that when it's not covered in fingerprints it really looks quite amazing, given the environment!

EDIT: Got confused between this thread and the daytona bezel removal one, apologies. For what it's worth I think the slightly mirroring bezel of the sub is what attracts me to it but each to their own, Matte is also nice!

I wore my sub for the first time today since I got it back from service to a wedding and even though the rest of the watch looks amazing, the bezel doesn't have the same pop. Funny thing is that if I did not still have the old one to compare it to I might not have noticed. I do agree with Sleddog & will not have it buffed, I just wished it had the same finish as the old, but I am a little OCD about my watches. I appreciate the feedback.
