What is your opinions on this little baby chaps ?

I am thinking on something on a strap for the summer, and what brighter strap than this one...

45mm, date function, and from what I read from you guys, these Omega's pack a lot of punch for the ££'s...

I can buy this brand new in box with 3 yr warranty for £1400 (UK list £1825)...

Opinions please !!

Excellent watch and great value.

I purchased mine BNIB for about $2300 USD...i recommend getting the watch on steel bracelet and purchasing the strap aftermarket. If you go the other way around the steel bracelet can be pretty pricey on its own.

After about 3 weeks of wear I have gained maybe 1 second!

The Omega Planet Ocean is a wonderful watch. Personally, I would buy it with either the SS band or the rubber strap so that I could take it in the water without a problem, but obviously, that is up to you. The watch itself is fantastic; I am sure you will enjoy it. Best of luck.

I love the watch but would personally go for the brown croc strap with black bezel.

It's a great watch. I tried the orange on but it was just a little too much orange for me:P

The neat thing about the color selection is this: apparently just before it gets pitch black when you're diving it's orange.

My wife bought me the 42mm version with the orange strap and bezel for xmas this year, and I love it. I would also suggest getting the watch on the SS bracelet. The SS bracelet for the 42mm model is around US $500. I agree that the orange leather strap is just too much orange. I already swapped out my leather straps for the SS bracelet.

I've had mine for a couple weeks and absolutely love it.

I've heard of more than a few people buying the model with the orange bezel, only to grow tired of it after a few months. YMMV.

I had the 45.5 mm one - same orange bezel but on SS bracelet. Had it for 3 months and then sold it. Took a small hit on it and then vowed to become a Rolex man only.

Thanks for the replies guys, I understand what some of you say about the orange strap, but I want a watch with a strap, and after looking at my oyster bracelets on my Rolex's - I HATE the look of that Omega bracelet for some reason - the lines and form just aren't as nice !?

I shall make a decision in early 08 !
