15300 vs 15400
Trying to decide between these two
I'm going either black or white dial Legibility is Important and also versatility I wear hoodie or t shirt and jeans most of time and sometimes infrequent dress attire I have a 6.5 Inch wrist What do you guys think for model and dial color? Thanks! |

from all the pictures here, i thought there was NO DOUBT that the white dial was for me. but, then i went and checked them out, and, one, the white dial didn't "grab me", and, two, the blue made me very, very happy. so, no substitute for checking 'em out.

If possible, definately try them on.
I would think that from your wrist size, the 15300 might be a better fit. |

The white/silver 15300 is to me, easier to read than the white/silver 15400.
The black 15400 didn't do much for me although I do like that the date wheel is in black. |

15300 is more suitable. But then it has been phased out so maybe only in the secondary market. Recommend blue or white dial.

Another vote for 15300. I think the size will make it more versatile for you. For dial color, they all work beautifully. That call can only be based on what makes you happiest.

Actually you should try both on your wrist. The 15400 is bigger but it fits better than the 15300 even on the 6.5 wrist. :)

I have a 15300, and a similarly sized wrist. The 15300 wears big for a 39mm watch and i couldnt go any bigger. 15400 would be a mistake IMHO

both are great watches but with a 6.5 wrist the 15300 may fit better. Only way to know for sure is to try them on.

you cant go wrong with either, but the 15400 is quite a large watch, so unless your wrist shape is flat, i would suggest a 15300

15300. I am a purist when it comes to Royal Oaks plus a 39mm should fit your small wrist better.

As others have opined, they wear large. My wrist is 6.5 inches, fairly flat. I am very comfortable with the 37mm white 15450, while the 39 mm blue 15202 is right at my limit. I would think the smaller model would be better for you but it would be best if you were able to try 'em all on . . .

The 15300 is perfect IMO.
Why? The 15400, is too big... Problem is that in my eyes, the position of the date aperture is in the wrong place, as the watch grows bigger.

I have tried on the 15400 and it was a bit large but not too much on my 6 7/8" wrist. I have not seen a 15300 in the wild but would like to try that as well.

Hope this side-by-side helps. My wrist is 6.75".
The photo was taken indoor at AP SG boutique. I like the size of 15300, and the blue of 15400 |

I also have 6.5 wrist and the 15300 is a perfect fit. When I tried the 15400, it wasn't feeling as good as the 15300.
I only regretted not buying the 15300 years ago instead of last year. You won't regret it. |
