SUB LV C Owners...
Hi guys...
I have been admiring all the wonderful photos of the Sub LV C lately! I would like to ask all of you who own this beautiful watch to please share your thoughts and feeling after owning it for a while... Do you find it goes with everything or do you get tired of the Green? Also is the Green change colour in different lighting conditions? I have the Old School LV and when ever I get tired of the Green Bezel I change it to the Black one... so it's always new!

I've had the 116610LV for a few months now and absolutely love it. It goes with casual and formal attire and attracts a lot of attention due to its color (especially in sunlight).
No regrets and LV-C for life! |

ive had mine over a month now and im loving it. ive owned other mid-high end watches before but the difference is marked. it has literally not come off my wrist. im not a fashion victim, but i mix it up. wear all sorts of colours, accessorys like cufflinks and its been fine.
at the end of the day, the braclet goes with anything and a flash of green is all most see. i love it, get one, no. wait, get 2, one for each arm!!!

I would say it works with anything, but I personally think the black insert is more versatile than the green one as the green is more flash and get get some unwanted attention at times. Luckily, I have several watches, so I can just put on another watch when I get tired of it.

I am curious about others thoughts on the LV C or not to C. I just purchased my first Rolex, a GMT IIC, and I am thinking about buying a Sub LV. However, I am not sure whether to go with an older or newer C style. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The green was too much for me.
I always love the pics, but I also always fall quickly out of love.

I think that the bottom line about the LV and LVC is what style you like rather than the color of the watch face (green or black). The larger body give it a different form to start with. The old style body tapers down more and "flows" into the bracelet in a more seamless way IMHO. The ceramic bezel has a more muted and less shiny green tone than the metal one. The numbers and markers are not recessed into the bezel either, giving it a different look that some find more pleasing. The new style bracelet seems to have more "problems" with long term durability than the tried and true classic one (from posts I have read anyway). In terms of being photogenic please check out my thread on that.

Mate I have the old school LV and I love it, especially cause you can change it around... I am only thinking of adding the Hulk not parting with my older LV... hope this helps!

I think you will miss just being able to swap to the black.
For me green doesn't go with everything. The watch is the most jewellery like SS Rolex there is. It reminds me a lot of this emerald ring my gf has. PCL's aren't really that blingy if you ask me. The green on the other hand will attract a lot of attention and I also feel there are things green wouldn't go with. Take green and red for example, I wouldn't wear that outside of December. On the other hand, I was once told that green is the colour of nature. I mean flowers come in all sorts of different colours and the green leaves never clash do they ? Still regardless of how you feel on it matching, it will always be too showy for certain situations in my eyes. Like wearing a big emerald bracelet. I do like it as a watch though. When I tried it on the guy really sold it to me and he was using a magazine to show how different it looks in certain lighting. I would need at least one other watch. |

I have the LV, and the LVC. Love them both.
I think that it goes with anything, the green never bothers me. But I also think that it's more of a mental thing than anything else, as far as the color goes. It works with pretty much anything, as long as you're comfortable/confident enough to just go for it. |

Proud owner for nine months and love it. Though I'm not a "one watch guy", I could wear it with anything (well, maybe not a red sweater, but I would never wear a red sweater, so I'm okay). Other than in direct sunlight, the green is pretty subdued and elegant, and when in the sun, the "pop" is fun and gorgeous. For me, the softer hue of the green with SS compared to the stark black and SS goes better with blue, white, grey and pink dress shirts, and I prefer it with shorts and a t-shirt, too.
There's just so much going on with the watch - a private lightshow - that I never get bored. Good luck with the choice. |

I love my LVc.
I wear it 75% of the time as I have other watches and it is by far my favorite. I never get tired of looking at the green dial. The LV is what I was wanting at first but when I saw the LVc at my AD I was knocked to the floor. |

I've owned both... LV is still here, LVc comes and goes and is gone now. I love it in pics, but on the wrist, it's just ok. I'll probably own another, but only when a deal presents itself.

I have the LVC for about 2 years now. I absolutely love it. The green dial under sunlight is gorgeous. Dont worry about it not matching your outfits because it will ! From far away the dial will sometimes look really dark, almost blackish. I think it goes with anything, even a nice white dress shirt.

The LVC was the first Rolex I bought and I wore it for a year before getting the white Milgauss which I now wear all the time. Its a nice watch but I did tire of the green after a while and fancied a change, will still wear it again though when I tire of the Milly so all good. AM.

I've had mine for a week. The dial's reaction to light is amazing and it's now my favorite watch. But I'm glad I have others so I can tone it down a bit if needed.
