Re: best buy

Hi all, currently I am over in Paris and looking to own my first ap watch. However should I be getting it here in Paris? I will be flying over to London soon. Thus would like your advises?

First ap to go for RO bumblebee/Navy/Panda, is it a good choice?

Thank you!

I was in Bond st today and Marcus and Sunil are great of course, the place is huge and so relaxed, you can try on a watch and then get in the lift to the AP floor to see some more with it still on your wrist. Also Selfridges is always very friendly and have a good selection and Wempe altho service in there today was awful, sales guy didnt know what the 15400 was and I had to tell him Royal Oak 41mm.

Everyone there was annoyed that with no boutique in London the blue dials are unavailable in the greatest City on Earth - just AP madness! Marcus is applying for boutique status Sunil said.

Interesting. Marcus has already lost the wholesale account for the UK and I very much doubt they will get it as relations between them are at an all time low. Hope AP do open a boutique in London.

May I ask where you found out this information? As I thought Marcus was already a Boutique ? And has a history with AP like no other, so to read this I find it somewhat concerning?

Yoda is correct, I knew this even though I have never even been to Marcus as I live in Yorkshire.....Although i have done mail order from them. In addition AP will no longer be giving Marcus the special edition APs that they have had in the past.

In addition.....my experiences of dealing with them (on the telephone only) are not entirely positive. I am obviously aware that they get rave reviews on this forum but I've found them to be a bit up their own a**e ........like 'hey we're Marcus so we know everything AP' even when they don't !

In fairness I've never spoken to Sunil who everyone here appears to rate highly. Just my 2 cents.
