DILEMA... WG Blue SubC or YG Blue SubC.

Hey guys hope your all having a great week..

Right!!! I am waiting for my grail WG Blue Sub to arrive at my local dealer and today I was there and he said he had a New YG Blue Sub which just arrived so as you do I tried it on... I have to say the damn thing looked and felt very nice indeed. Now I am confused between the WG and YG Blue face Sub...

I just feel the YG is abit too blingy and more in your face than the WG Sub and would attract too much attention when out and about. In saying that living here in Dubai everything is bling bling and YG fits in very well..lol.

What do you guys think between YG and WG and which do you prefer??? Would love to see some pics of your YG and WG Blue face Subs to help me out... Decisions decisions!!!

White gold, love the blue face, an under the radar watch for any day or night. IF you really must go YG go for the GMT.
I personally do not like YG in jewellery but do what's right for you!

I tried the WG Blue Sub on last year and must say that it is an amazing piece. I personally do not like YG watches because I feel they are too flashy and are more for the older person but if you like it then thats all that matters. I am 34 and one day will probably own a YG Day Date but not until I am closer to retirement age.

A great dilemma to have!

If it was for my wrist, I would stick with the WG for the stealth factor.

Thanks guys for your great input.. As I said I have ordered the WG Blue Sub and cant wait for it to arrive, its just trying the YG Sub today kinda threw me off as it looked awesome too.. Ive just turned 38 and like most feel YG might be something for the future perhaps... Would be great to see some wrist shots of both pieces though..

I envy your dilemma

Personally I'd pick the WG but since there's so much "bling bling" in Dubia YG works too.

I had the same dilemma but picked the WG as I already had a YG GMT.

I normally shy away from WG as it looks like stainless but scratches more easily. The weight and feel is amazing though. The blue smurf is a good reason to go that way since it is not available in steel.

That being said, for that kind of dough I would go with the yellow gold. Just stunning. As others have stated though, I like the GMT a little more than the sub.

My mother always used to tell me, "During a test, if you get confused, always stick w/ your first initial answer". So I vote WG. Good luck!

Andy, I have been to Dubai several times for business and pleasure....and with that lifestyle, YG is the way to go. But then again, you have to see what suits you better....do you see yourself wearing a WG or YG with your uniform?

I have the WG Sub and am so glad I went for it. Compared to my YG GMT it gets lots more wrist time and can be worn on more occasions. The YG is knock out but a bit OTT in some settings and you always feel more conspicuous with YG on..... Take the WG Sub it's a dream to wear!

Hey Adam well to be honest I use my TT GMT Master II for work which looks very smart with uniform. Not really sure if I would wear a full WG or YG to work though... I just feel the WG Sub would be more versatile in every day wear..

Nice problem to have... And it can drive you mad!!! I have seen the YG blue sub and it is stunning! I would buy it if I didn't already own my YG GMT.

I have a YG GMT which I love to wear! Having said that, I also live in HK where I feel very safe and comfortable wearing YG anytime!

WG is always a safe bet, however if I am going to spend this much money I want it to look the money! But hey, that's me!

Can't go wrong with either.... Good luck!

Hey Kevin, yeah that YG Blue sub is lovely I have to say. It makes a right old statement on the wrist BUT I have my heart on that WG Blue Sub. Will definately consider a YG watch in a few years once I get that WG Sub out of my system... Man this Rolex business is an illness, do you know any good Dr's??? hahahah

He also had the RG SkyDweller there also and have to say that is a hefty piece of equipment too. Abit big for my liking though.

WG sub IMO is my grail.

Has a very nice look and unless "your in the know" it doesn't stand out/ obvious that's it's WG.

Only YG I would get personally is the GMT.

Wish I had this hard choice currently haha. Good luck.

The WG Sub is my Grail of Grails. Just can't afford it. Maybe I'd get the YG when I get much older.

WG is amazing.

You will be very happy with it. If by chance the ad has both at the same time just try both and go with the one that sings.

I don't know why, but lately I have preferred YG on Daytonas, and DDs rather than Subs and GMTs.

I'm planning on acquiring a YG Sub black dial soon and consider it an amazing piece. The blue face is equally as impressive and has its own appeal. I plan on adding the WG sub to my collection on day so I love both. One comment I will make is that the YG GMT seems very popular and thus both the 116618 and the 116619 are considerably more scarce than the GMT, which appeals to me. If I ever get a YG GMT, it's going to be a green dial (The GMT rocks).

Just my opinion, do what you feel best caters to your tastes and preferences.

I had the same dilemma, tried on both WG and YG blue Subs, made a side by side comparison and finally went for the YG Sub C. I have absolutely no regrets getting it

That's a good dilemma to have.

I like the 116619 better just because I don't wear YG watches. I know it's hard, but just pick the one you like best and you can't go wrong.

Will you please post some pics of your 116618! There aren't many pics on the forum so I'd appreciate it.

WG for me .....

Just a unique and spectacular looking time piece.....

I just prefer the stealth of WG and find YG too ostentatious even though I like them on other people......
