16760 Fat Lady: Sophia Loren?

Does anyone here know why the GMT Master II 16760 Fat Lady is also called the Sophia Loren? I can't find any pics online of the actress wearing it, and she wasn't fat either... Does it reference to a different Sophia Loren aside from the actress?

The reference has to do with her curves believe it or not. There is a term for it and of the top of my head I cannot remember.

Maybe Cindy Crawford or Beyonce for a more current description and fat lady and Sophia Loren don't mix, maybe changed to sexy lady;)?

...IMO the ones that named the watch after her, have been into watches that long, that forgot all about women

Yeah, it has to reflect the times. Maybe one day we can call the biggest case in the current line up the DSSD the Kim Kardashian! Haha

I remember the word.....Sophia Loren was often described as "zaftig" meaning having a full rounded plump figure. This was often the description of the "fat lady" when it came out.

I'll always love the fat lady. She was the beginning of my slight addiction. As a matter of fact, this is the thread that started it all out for me:
