Nothing serious, just looks a little raggy at the edges and I like my watches to be super-pristine.

I had a nasty (price) experience with AP service in HK for a damaged Bumble Bee, so am just trying to find out whether this is going to be even worse!

Well if the RGRC bezel is $4k, I'd guess you're looking north of that.

About €2k for a GP bezel. I had one replaced a few years ago and it's FC.

Try APSC Singapore if you are flying in here!

Oops. Forgot that. So it would be much cheaper than the RGRC bezel.

2k euro is awful lot
but wait.. the rgrc.. is GOLD right? it is wrapped with rubber?
i think someone here had the rubber scraped off?

sorry to learn Roger
but are you sure it isnt the marble effect playing tricks? on my GPC the bezel does seem softer but i dont think there are any dents or dings!

You are allowed to get something wrong Mike. You are a wealth of knowledge on all brands and not just AP. I always read your posts, you've taught me so much about watches in general.

The forged carbon bezel.

It's $533 from clearwater. Just had mine replaced last month

Thanks guys - seems like it would be cheapest to ship it to Clearwater then - a big difference between Eur2000 and USD533. I will at least get a quotation here in HK, if only for amusement value! I don't suppose Clearwater will ship the bezel to me and then AP here just install it.

In terms of the wear of the bezel, I imagine most would not care about it but when you run your fingers slowly along some of the edges, you can feel the imperfections; you can't really see them without a loupe because of the weave of the FC. I will post up photos when I have a chance.

Separately, anyone want a ROO 57th very cheap LNIB before it gets traded next weekend?

Clearwater normally won't ship international.

The RG Grand Prix has a totally different bezel to the FC version. If you look carefully you have an inlaid rose gold line which is part of the bezel the FC does not have, hence making the bezel almost three times as expensive. Ps. AP will not supply the part by itself in Europe unless you have a parts account so factor the labour into the cost if AP do the fitting.

Absolutely correct; I have still not managed to get a quotation but my dealer thinks I am being unduly fussy as he thinks it is 99%! The new carbon GP strap on it looks good in the meantime!
