Help verifying some info on 4220 Speedking

I am posting some photos. hopefully helpful and not too big.

I have narrowed it down to 1944 and what appears to be an all original except the leather band. Got buckle as well. Was suggested the dial is actually original despite missing the "Swiss" at bottom. Apparently the European models did not have the "Swiss"? Can someone confirm or correct the details?

does anyone recognize that sticker?

Any additional info as well as approximate value would be greatly appreciated.

Brad

In the '40s era (as this is), original dials of this type virtually always said "SWISS MADE". I do have a slightly earlier (late '30s) ref. 1573 that is missing this, but apparently in the pre-40s era, if the watch was purchased in Switzerland itself, that may have been the case.

Yours appears to be an excellent quality older refinish. If the price is right, I don't think it would matter much in the long run. If you like the watch.

Here is mine (my avatar watch):

Forgot to add: remember that this is a small watch by contemporary standards (30mm).

Very small. Someone somewhere had mentioned a "boys" size?

Nice watch. Refinished dial (hands are too long for the dial, colors do not match, no 'swiss made', etc.)
