Smurf blue is gone??
Hello TRF! Been awhile since I posted. I apologize if this was previously discussed but is Rolex going back to the original deep blue on the 16613 and applying it to the 116613? I was speaking to a coworker who mentioned it and if so could be my next purchase.
Thanks!

The smurf blue was not my favorite. I like the old (new) blue better.

I currently have a 16613 with the beautiful blue dial. However, now I may need to add this to my list with the glide lock clasp.

I'm not big into TT but the darker sunburst blue is much better IMHO.

I actually prefer the current SS/Gold blue sub. The color is perfectly matched.
I remember in the past sometimes the dial would be too purple and not match the bezel on some models. I guess I will have to get mine now!!! |

I liked the smurf blue on the all gold models and even liked them on the TT, just not as much as I liked the "old" darker blue. Looking forward to the darker blue coming back

Several sources have confirmed this news that Rolex is switching back to 16613 blue color. Not too sure if the ceramic bezel color will change or not but the dial certainly will from what I am hearing.

Since they are changing the gold blue back to the blue sunburst dial, is there hope of a SS smurf in the works?

i like the new blue on the all gold but prefer the older blue shade on the TT. TT is gorgeous on that smurf blue color.

That the ceramic doesn't match the new sunburst blue dial some say? But isnt that the same story with the Hulk?

I think Chris confirmed only the TT and YG are getting a sunburst blue dial not the WG.

It is my understanding that the smurf blue will only be available in white gold and the full gold and two tone model will be the sunburst blue.
