Rolex Datejust 18k or 14k? 1988

I purchased this watch a few weeks back, and was curious on whether it was 14 or 18k. It is a 1988. the clasp says 62523 h18 m9. it is an r serial. Thank you

Your clasp code M9 indicates 1988 which is correct for a 16233.

It's just a fact that the 16233 is SS & 18k YG.

Unless you have the 16013 (older TT DJ), I wouldn't be worried. The 16013 is SS& 18k YG as well but sometimes can be found with SS & 14k YG.

The answers you received (18K) are true as long as you have a genuine bracelet/bezel etc. From pictures alone, we can only assume they are legit and not aftermarket. If you bought from a trusted seller then not really a concern.

But if it was a Craigslist/eBay thing, have the Datejust verified.
