All threads and posts inaccessible unless logged in

Admins/Mods,

I noticed recently that unless I was logged in, all threads and posts in all forums are invisible! That means a couple of things:
  • Some search engines are going to drop us out of the search engine
  • People sent here to check it out cannot see anything, and won't have any reason to join

Was this by design or a simple mistake? I run a VBulletin-based forum, and know how things like this can happen.

It looks like a private closed site unless one is logged in.

Anyhow, hope there's a simple explanation. Thanks for running the site for us.

I am pretty sure that RolexForums is no longer being spidered by Google search engine. A quick test shows that the most recent topics in the search engine are about May 3, and no posts at all.

If this is also by design, then I'll say no more. But most sites don't want to disappear from search engines and lose new readership. Unregistered users have no access to threads at all.

Again, thanks.

Maybe Steve has decided that we don't need any more members?

Many forums you cannot read all the posts unless you log on or become a member, and its the mods and Admin decide on how the forum is run end of story but thanks for your input and many members still join each day.
