Help please! Jubilee bracelet ID

I have a Rolex 1675 GMT-Master of 1966 vintage. It belonged to my father who died in 2004. It's got a Jubilee bracelet on it but I do not think it is the one supplied with that watch. It's links are oval and solid, not folded and it says Rolex USA on with a number 10-73 on the clasp. Everybody is telling me that this is not the original band for that watch.

Does anybody know about these USA bracelets?

Yes they are original Rolex bands, made by jb for Rolex under license in the USA , Bands were also made in mexico, Argentina and the uk as well. Does it look like this below. The band is 1973 and the watch is older it appears from your information. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368867992.884839.jpg

Yes that's the one. Although the clasp has a larger Rolex motif on it. Do these bracelets detract from the value or desirability of the watch?

I had the bracelet refurbished by Michael Young over in HK in 2005 after I inherited the watch. I bought a second hand Oyster band which is still on the watch. When the Jubilee bracelet came back from its refurbishment It was much too small for me because of the stretch being eliminated. I need some extra links for it? Any ideas where I can get these links. I've tried Michael Young who is unable to help.

Have you used all the adjustment holes inside the clasp ??

Unfortunately these older bracelet are very difficult to find extra links for. It may be possible to find an extremely worn/damaged bracelet and cannibalize the links from it..

There is a sticky at the top of this Board with some vintage dealers who may be able to help..

yes the all the adjustment has been had. Thanks for the info. I have considered the cannibalising option.

JB was J Bender who manufactured bracelets for Rolex. Later, C&I manufactured bracelets for Rolex in the USA. Does the bracelet read C&I anywhere on the clasp?
