My sub's time keeping.
I just wanted to share this. Sunday the 19th at 12am I fully wound up my watch and set it to time.is . It's now Thursday 12am . And it's fast 5 secs. At night I lay it flat on the dial, face down on a towel that I have on the dresser.
5 secs in 4 days. I think that's pretty damn amazing. 14060m serviced about 2 months ago at rsc toronto. Oh, If I lay it face up or crown up or some other way, can I slow it down a bit? |

I find that I can slow my SubC down fractionally by propping it up vertically (12 up) at night. Like you I'm more than happy with it's accuracy.

After catching the watch bug about a year or so ago I've bought several Rolex pieces, both modern and vintage.
The most accurate of them all by far is a humble s/s 1968 Datejust 1601. It's now well over 40 years old and gains a quite remarkable 1-2 seconds a day! This is with daily wear as well! My brand new 42mm Explorer, by way of comparison, is losing about 5 seconds a day atm, and that's after having it regulated recently (it was losing a fairly hefty 12 shortly after I took delivery). It's clearly a much smoother movement inside, but I wonder if it isn't as solid as a concequence? Has a little accuracy been sacrificed at the altar of 28,800 bph? Anyway, I love my modern Rollies, particularly my 216570, but in my opinion the 1570 movement is the greatest watch movement of all time. Unbelievable reliability, time keeping, sturdiness and serviceability. LONG LIVE THE KING OF MOVEMENTS (here she is, gaining just 1 second per day, like a boss!): |

Great report, mine is close to the same accuracy. Loses right about .75 seconds per day. I don't even check it anymore. I set it about 6 weeks ago, maybe today I'll check it to see where it's at. Amazing accuracy all around!

Out of all of the Rolex' I've owned, they were all extremely accurate. BUT. My 14060M is my one and only and my daily wearer...Only take it off to sleep and shower...I always have it on and it is scary accurate. By far the most accurate Rolex I have ever owned. It's just an all around fantastic watch. Best watch in the lineup IMO.
