Hi All,

new to the forums and rolex club. just picked up my first SS datejust with white gold fluted bezel and concealed crown jubilee bracelet from my local AD. I've only had it a few days but I had a question about the bracelet: is the crown clasp supposed to be flush with the rest of the bracelet when worn? I just noticed that gravity makes a tiny 1 mm gap between the clasp and the rest of the bracelet when the dial faces the ceiling. When I turn the dial towards the ground, facing the clasp towards the ceiling, gravity closes the gap and it sits flush. I do understand that if it did not make the gap, it would be difficult to grip/open the clasp. It is very minuscule thing, but I was just wondering if it was supposed to be that way? Because I purchased it a few days ago, I figure that's just the way it is. Any help would be appreciated. First picture shows the gap from gravity (what it looks like when worn), 2nd pic the gap is closed with my finger (flush), and the third pic the dial is facing the ground and the crown is flush with the bracelet.

If there was no gap, you would have problems opening it!

Normal.....my Jubilee clasp does the same thing. Enjoy!

That clasp crown has play and does wiggle around.
Imagine if it were flush and stiff, it would be impossible to unclasp.

In other words all normal.

Mine does the same, it's just the arrangement of the clasp and crown logo and how it opens. Wear it in good health

some pics for you guys. absolutely love it, as i've been wearing it daily. i'm just constantly afraid of scratching the fluted bezel, as it is my first luxury timepiece.

Hello,

I just found this post after having posted the very same thing, almost word per word. It is actually amazing how we describe the issue almost exactly the same.

Even though this thread is old, I wanted to chime in and both:

1) Reassure you since it's behaving exactly as mine
2) Reassure myself since I see everyone is saying this is normal!

As mentioned, the wiggle makes it easier to lift the clasp to unlock it. Also, even with the wiggle, you can feel the clasp is locked perfectly! So it's totally fine.
