50th Anniversary Sub Bezel insert
I am getting kind of bored with the green insert ,the RSC will not change it for blue or black. They will only do the green.I wonder is there another source for a black or blue sub insert?

Send a PM to Puffy - he seems to have them pretty often. Good seller too.

The 16610 with a blue bezel looks cool. You should give that a shot.

Ocassionally,I see blue/silver fonts bezels for 16613/16808 from top rated sellers in ebay. You may want to spend some time searching and hopefully find one.

Yes quite true that's one of the main reasons now that Rolex charges $300 for the green aluminium insert and in many cases watch has to go back to Rolex.IMHO its mainly because many are putting green inserts on normal 16610 subs and visa versa on LV. In the UK a black Sub or SD aluminum insert cost around $60 had one fitted about 3 months ago by the London RSC so don't pay silly money for one.

I know the feeling on the LV and it's nice to mix it up a little.
Talk with Kanger, he got me the black insert and bezel brand new for a fair price. |

Keep the LV the way it was intended to be...
Buy another sub...Pepsi perhaps for a change of color when you don't feel like green.

I found one AD who wouldn't put a black insert on my watch. And another who said no problem, and installed one for me for $90. Shop around.

The blue/silver insert is really killer on a regular sub. I think I'm in the minority in that I can't stand the maxi dial or hands.
Here's the blue/silver on my 16800 with the LV sitting next to it. Plenty of options now as I have 3 bezels and inserts. An LV, Blue/Silver and Black to mix it up. It stays pretty much on the blue/silver or the LV. Go for the blue/silver if you can find one. Well worth it though you'll need to find a silver pearl for it as well as the blue/silvers only come with gold pearls.

John in TN - where did you get this fab range from? They look fantastic. Are they all through ADs or are any decent aftermarket pieces from ebay?

Would doubt it most are sourced from a third party and some will want to charge quite IMHO ridicules prices.Genuine aluminium inserts except the green LV in the UK are around the £37 pound mark from RSC. Myself would not use aftermarket but its just a insert and easily changed back to the genuine original one you have now with your watch and the T on your 16610 stands for non lug hole case..

Thank you, really helpful as always. I agree, I don't like the thought of aftermarket parts on my beautiful watch but genuine alternative colours just seem hard to source. I'll speak to my RSC though and keep looking. Thanks again.

All are original Rolex. Went through quite 4 blue/silver ones before I found an authenticate one I was happy with. I'm pretty certain I took the 1st photo with a real Rolex blue one. The 2nd photo is definitely with a real one.
The first faded black one is the original insert. The 2nd black is a luminova service insert. I now have a bezel for this one as well. 3rd is a real LV insert which made my heart stop and my pocketbook ache when I paid for it. The blue is one I got from eBay. Ended up buying 4. ONe aftermarket and 3 real ones before finding a perfect one. All told with the inserts, extra bezels, coated cyclop crystal, 93250, silver datewheel, extra service hands, and extra matte dial (which was relumed) I put in about an additional $2700 into the original price I paid for the watch....All because I love silver datewheels and matte dials that much more then the modern glossy ones with white gold surrounds. Go figure.
